Group Home - Residential living for adults 18 & over who have special needs.

• Each home features bedrooms (single and shared options vary depending on location) and bath facilities plus a full eat-in kitchen, laundry room and common areas indoors and out for relaxing and socializing with family and friends. All residents participate in essential daily living tasks based on ability, learning the skills necessary to do laundry, cook, clean and generally maintain their home.
• When it’s time to relax, Group Home residents can choose from a variety of activities that include watching TV, reading, playing card games, board games, listening to music, or video games.
• Trained staff members are always on site to help residents develop independent living skills and comprehensive medical care is available around the clock with TradeWinds’ dedicated Residential Nursing program. Each Group Home has its own vehicle to take residents out into the community for recreation, restaurants, shopping, errands to the bank and post office, medical appointments and trips to the bowling alley, the Y, local concerts, theater performances, and community festivals fill a typical Group Home monthly calendar.
• Prospective participants must be diagnosed with an intellectual disability by a medical professional and determined eligible for group home placement by the state Bureau of Developmental and Disability Service (BDDS).
