Last April, nearly 40 people spent their Saturday painting the entire 93rd Group Home as part of the nation’s largest single-day corporate service effort, Comcast Cares Day. The ladies were thrilled with the professional results that transformed a very dated and unattractive color palette into a softer, cleaner and more neutral backdrop throughout the home.

An enthusiastic group from McMahon & Associates CPAs returned again this year for their annual Day of Caring in September. They spent their time painting and adding accent color to the walls at TradeWinds East.

Calumet College students Luke Matulewicz (a junior studying psychology) and Jake Hayes (a senior studying forensic biology technology) traveled from Whiting to the Burrell Group Home in Crown Point as part of the University’s annual Day of Caring in late September. They spent a beautiful fall day sealing the deck.
