CEO
Jon Gold has been the Chief Executive Officer of TradeWinds Services, Inc. since 1999. During this time, the agency has experienced a substantial growth of services while continuing to provide quality programs. In 2014, Jon oversaw the move to our current facility in Hobart that resulted in doubling the number of people served, necessitating the purchase of another facility across from the main center. During Jon's tenure, the agency has expanded its number of properties throughout the community to 18, including residential sites.
Jon started as an accountant in 1986; and, in 1988, was promoted to Chief Financial Officer, serving for 8 years before leaving to run his own Certified Public Accounting practice in Portage. Jon attended Indiana University and Valparaiso University and has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Jon also has a second degree in business education for teaching business classes.
Jon has 2 daughters, Rebecca and Elizabeth, both Purdue graduates. Jon enjoys watching and playing sports, attending concerts, and traveling in his spare time. Jon grew up and lives in Valparaiso. He is a member of Pirates, Inc.

Director of Development & Marketing and Director of Employment Services
Lisa Tatina is the Director of Development & Marketing and of Employment Services at TradeWinds Services, Inc. Lisa joined TradeWinds in May of 2016 after a 31-year career in sales and marketing in newspapers. Lisa worked at the Post-Tribune and the Chicago Sun-Times; was the Vice President of Sales for the Sun-Times' portfolio of papers from NW Indiana up to Waukegan, Illinois, right before coming to TradeWinds.
Lisa brings a wealth of marketing experience and has been involved in many local non-profits in NWI over the last 35+ years. Lisa was a TradeWinds board member for 9 years and knows the mission of TradeWinds well. Lisa believes in the work TradeWinds does, which was a major reason for making the career change, coming to TradeWinds.

Director of Youth & Residential Programs
Lisa Previs is Director Youth Services, and Residential Services for TradeWinds Services. Lisa has worked in a variety of roles for over 33 years, including a Developmental Therapy Provider for 18 years and Director of TradeWinds’ Child Care for 28 years. Lisa currently oversees TradeWinds’ Group Home and Supported Living programs.
Lisa is a licensed K-12 teacher who specialized in Special Education while earning a BS in Education at Purdue University. Lisa has worked on many projects including TradeWinds’ ongoing CARF accreditation, agency activities, the health & safety of the facilities, and events with Lake Area United Way; a current member of Pirates, Inc. Director of Fiscal Compliance and IT
Jamie has been with TradeWinds Services, Inc. since August 1999. During Jamie's time with the agency has served as a member of the senior management team, supervised the Accounting Department, and worked on special projects. Jamie is currently focusing on Fiscal Compliance, managing the internal IT, and other special projects such as the ongoing CARF Accreditation.
Jamie attended Indiana University Northwest earning a Master of Business Administration Degree.
Jamie lives in Valparaiso, Indiana with husband, Dan; has two children, Brandon and Sydney, and one grandson, Greysen. Director of Human Resources
Vernita Johnson-Macklin is the Director of Human Resources, Admissions, File Room, and the administrative reception area. Vernita has been with TradeWinds for 24 years and has served in many roles. Starting as a Trainer, Vernita advanced to Admissions Coordinator, then Admissions and Quality Assurance Manager before taking on her current role.
Vernita earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Calumet College of St. Joseph in Human Services and a Master’s Degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. Vernita has worked on many projects, including TradeWinds’ ongoing CARF accreditation, agency activities, and events with Lake Area United Way; a current member of Pirates, Inc. Director of Industries & General Manager of the Sign Shop
Lynn Strohl is the Director of Industries and General Manager of the Sign Shop and has been at TradeWinds for almost 5 years. Lynn manages TradeWinds’ AbilityOne contracts along with commercial contracts for our General Production department.
Lynn earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Southern Indiana, and also earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

Director of Day Services
Fallon Coleman is the Director of Day Services and has been with TradeWinds for four years. During this time, day services have experienced a growth in programs offered while continuing to provide a meaningful day for all participants. Fallon supervises the Day Habilitation Programs, which include Adult Day Activity Program & Training (ADAPT), Community Integration, and Transitional Vocational Training (TVT); also supervises Case Management, Deaf Services, Prevocational Services, Respite, and Visions.
Fallon attended Purdue University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education. Fallon graduated in 2008 and has been in the social services field ever since.
Fallon enjoys spending time with her family, attending sporting events, playing cards and board games, and camping. Fallon grew up in and continues to live in Chesterton; a member of Pirates, Inc. Fallon can be contacted at fcoleman@tradewindsnwi.org.
