This is a full-time position in our Adult Day Activity Program & Training classrooms working with adults with developmental and physical disabilities.
Description of Position: To work with, guide, and teach individuals skills that are necessary to increase or maintain the participant’s present levels of functioning. To provide direct services to clients which include personal hygiene, housekeeping, daily living skills, and recreational and community-integrated activities. To provide individual and group habilitation, and document/track their individual progress.
Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to individuals with CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant).
Experience Required: Prefer past experience working with adults with disabilities. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be responsible, reliable, and able to carry out job functions independently without ongoing direct supervision. Ability to multi-task and work as a team.

Additional Information: Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age, and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Description of Position – Feeding, toileting, group facilitation, some lifting, and positioning. Responsible for individual activities. Provide a wide range of activities, which could include such things as gross and fine motor skill activities, games, art/craft activities, mobility, exercise, nutrition, and recreation and leisure activities. The trainer position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Documentation – Daily or monthly as required by the state regarding feeding and activity schedules, medications, billing, etc. Incident reports.
Education/Certification Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background check.

TradeWinds Services has a position for a driver to transport individuals with disabilities to and from the TradeWinds center and their place of employment. This is a split shift position averaging 15-20 hours, 5 days a week. Mornings from 7 am – 9 am and afternoons 3 pm – 5 pm. The right person will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of those individuals. It is the role of the transportation driver to ensure the most efficient and safest routes. This position requires the right person to be flexible about time and schedule changes. There is an opportunity for additional hours for events.
This person will also be responsible to:
*Ensure the vehicle has sufficient fuel *Keep vehicle clean and free of debris
*Transport individuals to and from authorized locations only
*Operate vehicle in such a way that road and safety regulations are always followed; immediately reporting any traffic violations and accidents to Human Resources
*In the event of an accident, assure medical emergency procedures are followed; complete written internal incident reports as required by TradeWinds’ procedure and other authorities.
*Attend and participate in centers in-service training, and other continuing education, career, and professional development opportunities.
*Perform other duties as assigned.
Must possess a current valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance, no suspensions within a 3-year period; high school diploma or equivalent; be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to comply with pre-hire requirements such as a background check, drug & TB test, ability to present a positive image of the organization to members of the community, have effective organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills. Must be able to physically move through the bus, and the center. Experience successfully working with culturally diverse populations is also desirable.

Our Respite Care staff takes individuals with special needs on outings to community-based activities, shopping, bowling, theaters, etc. Respite care can also be provided in-home or at a TradeWinds Respite Apartment.

Description of Position: The Supported Living Coordinator is responsible for the supervision of the QIDPs in the Supported Living department. The Supported Living Coordinator oversees appropriate staffing, staff hours, assists with hiring needs, and conducts monthly reviews. The Supported Living Coordinator ensures training, inspections, plans of care are appropriate and complete. The Supported Living Coordinator ensures that medical care for the consumers is complete and up to date.

Experience Required: Prior experience in developing and implementing individual programs, program evaluations, and working in a team environment. Must have good decision-making and time management skills and be responsible, mature, and flexible. Must have supervision experience and be detail orientated.

Utilizes positive discipline to guide the child’s behavior in positive ways that support total growth and development, and promote self-esteem; Must work collaboratively and maintain an open, friendly, and professional relationship with the teachers, family members, and other staff to achieve positive outcomes for children of all abilities.

Additional Responsibilities: Assistant teacher must obtain at least 20 hours of professional development a year, including attending meetings and training, and maintaining the appropriate competencies and abilities as required by the position; training may occur in the evenings or on weekends, or online.

Description of Position: Supervise the adult participants in the lunchroom/break area during scheduled morning breaks, lunch periods and afternoon breaks.
