As a member of TradeWinds Services and an integral part of a diverse population of individuals with disabilities, the candidate is responsible for evaluating, planning, organizing, and providing services on an individual basis for participants enrolled in the program who are seeking community employment. The primary job duties may vary based on the agency’s needs but includes job readiness instruction, discovery profiles, situational assessments, job development, and job coaching.

Experience Required:   Must have strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities. Must be able to take direction and function as a team player. Must have excellent writing and verbal skills. Must have good decision-making and time management skills and be responsible, mature, and flexible. One to three years of experience working with diverse populations is preferred.

Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent GED required. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Social Services or related field.

Department:    Supported Living                               Position Title:  Habilitation Manager

Description of Position:

The Habilitation Manager (HAB MANAGER) is responsible for the monitoring, integration, implementation, and coordination of services consisting of a comprehensive functional assessment of the program services.  Ultimately, the HAB MANAGER is responsible for ensuring the provisions of a consistent and aggressive active treatment program for the consumers. The HAB MANAGER also supervises the Direct Support Professionals and works cooperatively with the residential center nurse.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or bachelor’s degree (preferred) in human services or related academic disciplines (e.g., psychology, sociology, education, and human development).

Experience Required:

Prior experience in developing and implementing individual programs, program evaluations, and working in a team environment.  Must have good decision-making and time management skills and be responsible, mature, and flexible.

Department: Industries/Production  

Hours: Full-Time

Department:   Industries/Production                           Position Title:   Production Support Lead

Number of Positions Available:         1

Hours:    7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Description of Position – The Production Support Lead assists with daily production work, including packing, quality checks, and supporting workflow on the production floor. This role helps employees stay engaged, build skills, and meet productivity goals while supporting basic documentation and AbilityOne program requirements.

Documentation –

• Record basic production, quality, and employee support information as required
• Assist with tracking employee progress, productivity, and support needs to complete Participating Employee Information (PEIs)

Education/Certification Requirements–

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass Indiana HCSP Certification upon hire.

Experience Required-

• Previous experience in production, warehouse, or hands-on environment preferred but not required
• Ability to work with individuals of varying abilities

Department: Children Services                                            Position Title: Childcare Teacher – 3–5-year-old

Hours: Must be available Monday – Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Description of Position: Classroom management of children who are typically developing and children with special care needs. Supervise field trips, lesson planning and actively participate in daily learning and enrichment activities.  Feeding diapering and potty as well as following through on therapy recommendations necessary within the classroom setting.  The individual must possess creativity, enthusiasm, and strong leadership qualities best suited to craft an optimal learning environment.  Must be able to complete documentation as required by state regulations. Attend meetings with parents and/or department staff.  Review the work of aides and function independently in order to accomplish assignments, able to maintain confidentiality.

Education Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age.  Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education/Special Education/or related fields.

Experience Required: Must have 3 months to one year experience in working with children in a childcare or therapeutic setting.  Must have good organizational skills.  Must have the ability to work with infants and young children. Must be able to respond properly to emergencies.  Key to this position is a positive attitude, team player spirit, and a lot of energy with the ability and willingness to participate in outdoor/physical activities.

Department: Children Services          Position Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Number of Positions Available:   1 (Part-time)

Description of Position:   The school-based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides occupational therapy services to students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade within an educational environment. This position supports students’ participation, inclusion, and functional performance in school-related activities through collaboration with Occupational Therapists, educators, and other school staff. The ideal candidate is flexible, self-directed, and experienced in school-based or pediatric therapy services.

Hours: Must be available Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Requirements:

Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential, NBCOT certification, valid Indiana Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license, strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently, flexibility in diverse educational settings.

Experience Required: School-based or pediatric experience preferred

Hours: As Needed - Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm

This is a substitute position to fill in as needed, working with adults with developmental disabilities.

Description of Position:   Responsible to train participants based on their individual ABLE goals as identified in their Individual Service Plans.  In addition, provide training to enable the person served to maximize their performance on a variety of production jobs.  Job accommodations and daily written documentation are required regarding participants’ progress and related service issues.  Participation in consumer person-centered planning meetings is required.

Education Requirements:   Minimum High school diploma or GED; post-secondary/training preferred.

Experience Required:  Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in education and/or teacher’s aide experience. Shipping experience preferred.  Must be able to multi-task as well as effectively communicate both orally and written.  Must be able to objectively and calmly handle crisis situations.
