Description of Position:
The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional is responsible for the monitoring, integration, implementation, and coordination of services consisting of a comprehensive functional assessment of the program services. Ultimately, the Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional is responsible for ensuring the provisions of a consistent and aggressive active treatment program for the consumers. The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional also supervises the House Managers and works cooperatively with the residential nurses.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in human services or related academic disciplines (e.g., psychology, sociology, education, and human development).
Experience Required:
Prior experience in developing and implementing individual programs, program evaluations, and working in a team environment. Must have good decision-making and time management skills and be responsible, mature, and flexible.

As a member of TradeWinds Services and an integral part of a diverse population of individuals with disabilities, the candidate is responsible for evaluating, planning, organizing, and providing services on an individual basis for participants enrolled in the program who are seeking community employment. The primary job duties may vary based on the agency’s needs but includes job readiness instruction, discovery profiles, situational assessments, job development, and job coaching.
Experience Required: Must have strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities. Must be able to take direction and function as a team player. Must have excellent writing and verbal skills. Must have good decision-making and time management skills and be responsible, mature, and flexible. One to three years of experience working with diverse populations is preferred.
Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent GED required. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Social Services or related field.

Department: Children Services Position Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Number of Positions Available: 1 (Part-time)
Description of Position: The school-based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides occupational therapy services to students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade within an educational environment. This position supports students’ participation, inclusion, and functional performance in school-related activities through collaboration with Occupational Therapists, educators, and other school staff. The ideal candidate is flexible, self-directed, and experienced in school-based or pediatric therapy services.
Hours: Must be available Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Requirements:
Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential, NBCOT certification, valid Indiana Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license, strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently, flexibility in diverse educational settings.
Experience Required: School-based or pediatric experience preferred
Position Reports to: Registered Occupational Therapist
Additional Information: Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background check.

This is a substitute position to fill in as needed, working with adults with developmental disabilities.
Description of Position: Responsible to train participants based on their individual ABLE goals as identified in their Individual Service Plans. In addition, provide training to enable the person served to maximize their performance on a variety of production jobs. Job accommodations and daily written documentation are required regarding participants’ progress and related service issues. Participation in consumer person-centered planning meetings is required.
Education Requirements: Minimum High school diploma or GED; post-secondary/training preferred.
Experience Required: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in education and/or teacher’s aide experience. Shipping experience preferred. Must be able to multi-task as well as effectively communicate both orally and written. Must be able to objectively and calmly handle crisis situations.
